Kalaripayattu, the Mother of all martial arts

Kalaripayattu the martial art form of Kerala is regarded as the oldest and most scientific of its kind in the world. All martial arts in India were originated from Kalaripayattu. Martial training and self-disciplining through a ritualistic and spiritual process of learning is synthesized in the Kalaripayattu tradition that found its roots in Kerala, the southernmost state of India. Historical evidences prove that Kung-fu and similar martial arts were developed from Kalaripayattu. The word Kalaripayattu was formed by combining two Malayalam words "Kalari" and "Payattu" – Kalari means traditional school,and payattu means fight.
